Anyone have any ideas on what can be done to minimize/prevent wheel hop? I get more of it than I'd like on my convertible.

I have very bad wheel hop on my Alloy coupe, especially since I had a tune and am over 460 RWHP. I am going to install BMR billet rear lower control arms first. If they don't eliminate it completely, I will then get the rear center upper control arm replaced with either BMR's or Steeda's. Both of them together should about eliminate the wheel hop. I hope the lowers work enough so I don't have to do the upper. I can handle the lowers, but I don't think I can do the upper by myself. I am not messing with shocks or anythig else since I have not had any input on those helping.

Have you considered changing the rear end gears to 3.7's?

Steeda has a complete kit to eliminate the hop. It works according to many other forum members on other sites. I've only replaced the LCA with steeda's, and feel a tremendous difference.

Is the wheel hop everyone is talking about the strange vibration in the rear when you start off from a dead stop in first gear? Not lighting it up, just getting going? I have that and it's very annoying.

Wheel hop is more than a strange vibration. It feels more like several large jolts as the wheel actually hops off the ground while spinning as opposed to staying planted. This is really bad on the drivetrain.

I have exactly the same problem - I cannot launch clean from a dead stop even at very low RPM. I have read that the Roush kits are the best and I think I will try one.

People have reported of the rear quarters buckeling from hard launches on both coupes and 'verts half way up the rear panel. They end up seeing dimples on both sides in the same spot...

I had a 3.73 installed on my gt500 and my wheel hop is noticably worse. Has anyone installed the "Steeda Stop The Hop Pak" which is the LCA and fixed upper, or the "Roush Wheel Hop Reduction Kit" which is just THE upper trailing arm. Both of these kits are $300.

I just ordered the Steeda upper and lower control arms. I will let everyone know in the spring, how the wheel hop is now. I currently have a foot of snow on the ground.
