The SVTOA On Track CAMP STEEDA is back again! We are offering an unbelievable opportunity to owners of Ford-powered street cars to drive their vehicles at Sebring International Raceway. Space is limited and being filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so time is of the essence. Here are the details:

SVTOA ON-TRACK's CAMP STEEDA 2007 is designed to be educational as well as exciting. You'll be able to tune up your driving skills with classroom and trackside instruction provided by pros like Jeff Lacina , SVTOA's Lead Instructor and many instructors to help you hone those skills.

The event will feature the latest Steeda Q Mustangs and performance parts. The all conquering 1995 Steeda Cobra R, the famed number 20 car, returns as enthusiasts will be able to ride in the winningest Cobra R from 1995-97. Steeda’s 1993 Cobra R, one of 107 produced and the first R Model to win a race, will also be on hand providing rides at speed around the race course The Cobra R Models are not static, museum pieces, these cars are extremely fast and exciting to watch and better.

Industry leading companies, Nitto Tire, SCT and Tokico are event sponsors and will be on hand to showcasing their latest products, as well as providing technical assistance and advice. Nitto engineers and product development personnel will test the latest Nitto performance tires. Participants will have the opportunity to have Nitto tires mounted on their vehicles to test and enjoy on the Sebring circuit.

As they have since its inception, Ford SVT will have engineers attending the event. lending a special insight . Editors from all the major Mustang publications market will be participating at Camp Steeda, always on the lookout for well turned out vehicles for their magazines. They will find a target rich environment at Camp Steeda.
When asked about the return of Camp Steeda to Sebring, Steeda Autosports President Dario Orlando stated, “Over the years we have enjoyed supporting the SVTOA and their members. We want to be the company they turn to for all their performance needs. All of us at Steeda look forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones this coming April 20-22”.

Activities Planned:

Friday, April 20 -- The festivities will start with sign-in, early tech inspection, and an informal reception at Chateau Élan, right on the grounds at Sebring!

Saturday, April 21 – Start off BIG with the Full 12 Hour Course.

NITTRO Tire Try Out - NITTO Will Be On-Site with there tractor trailer with tires and rims ready for them to put on your car for and chance to See how the NT01 works on your car.

SCT will be holding several Seminars on their new tuners. Hear it from SCT on the latest SCT Tuners and see were your power is.

STEEDA - Want to take ride in the STEEDA - Q or the famous # 20. STEEDA Will offering you the chance to take a ride. (Must Be 18) Other rules and regulations required.

Saturday Night will also have a Banquet dinner you will get refuel and hear some speakers from the Ford Performance world.

Sunday, April 22 -- It's Open Track on the 12 Hours (Full Course) all day long!

I heard about this event on another mostly local Fl forum, sounds like it will be a great time. What is Nitto charging for the tire service?

Current lack of an extra set of track wheels and tires is holding me back from registering at this point. I don't think I want to participate on my current street Falkens...

Not sure on that. What they are doing on a limited basis is putting on a set of tires for you to try but they will take them back off after your session. Not every may get a Chance to try it. Nitto did not say how they were going to go about it.

Would be nice if they sold some tire while there. I know I could use it they way I tear them up.

There is no contact for nitto - if you have a question I can try and find out for you.

Anyone know if NITTO makeS an A Sedan tire?

I'd be interested in loading a set if they have some 5.1 TO 5.5 backspace wheels or I can bring rims to mount up.

1st . there will be a sign up sheet at registration for registered particpants.

there looking at the list of cars coming and bringing a common set a wheels thay will hope to be able to swap around. I believe they will have 5 sets of different sizes and off sets.

I will be meeting with them today regarding another matter and I will see.

I am sure it can't happen but my father and I are bringing a 04 cobra that was turned into a world challenge GT car we are looking to try to get into American Iron extreme racing with it and would like to compare the nitto's against the toyo's that are on it. The only problem it has 18x11's all the way around but if they had them we would ike to compare before we bought or next set of tires. Thanks Tom

The way it going to work is there will be a sign up sheet at registration. From there you will have an oportnity to sign up to try a set in for one of you sessions.

From there you will go to the nitto trailer and pick up a set and put them on you car yourselves. there will be a staging are were you can use there jack to put them on. NITTO will not be putting them on for you nor putting any tire on your rims. When you are done with your session you will need to return them for the next person to try them out. (detail will be more clear at the event).

(NITTO or STEEDA will not be mounting any tires on your wheels or putting them on your car)

The wheels they are bringing will all be 18X9 Steeda rims mounted with NT01's. (should fit most if not all offsets - Calipers etc.)It will be each person responsibility to make sure they fit,installed and returned. Hopefully it will work out for you.

Of course is impossible to bring something for every type a vehicle.

Getting close. Were expecting a huge turn out based on registration.

The Saturday Night Dinner is booked solid. Plan on getting opportunities to participate in the raffle for a chance to get some great stuff. Wheels , tires, etc.

Did you say SVT - No its not dead. A major player with SVT be there to dispel the rumor.

For those who want to know there is going to be about 7 magazines there including Motortrend. So say cheese when you see them.
