Question

I was just at the Detroit auto show, they have 2 Shelby GT 500s there, sat in one and noticed it only had a 5 speed trans. I thought they came with a 6 speed like in the 2003/04 Cobras. Both are working cars, not shells for the show.

The 5-speed was a Shelby GT, not a Shelby GT500

I have a 2007 GT500 and it definitely has the 6-speed in it.

I wonder why the Shelby GT 500 at the show had a 5 speed in it. :wtf:

Here is a link to one if Gregs pictures. It was the Red Shelby GT 500.
The white Shelby GT 500 was on the turntable.
May be it was an early version for shows.
It's a mystery we may never find out. :confused: :D
