We have several local chapters of SVTOA that have very well done and active websites, yet here on the national site, the forums for those chapters are so dead that there have been no posts for months or even years. We feel this gives the wrong impression to people who might be browsing here and wondering if they should join.

This forum software supports what are called "Forum Links" in place of an actual "Forum"

How does this tie in? Easy!

If you have a local chapter website, especially one with a forum and your local events calendar, PLEASE post the url to it! We in turn will replace your inactive forum here to re-direct anyone who clicks your "forum link" on this website right to your active local chapter website!
For an example, look for the "Wisconsin" Chapter forum in the listings on this forum- Click the link. It will take you to that chapter's website.

We also would like to start getting more organized as to what chapters even still exist so we can de-activate forums that will not be used.

Your help with this is GREATLY appreciated!!!

For the Nashville area here on this site can you add svtoanashville.com?

Greg, I think that is a great idea. Thas was going to be a suggestion @ our up comming meetin. ( I assume you can be there) I would suggest a link to thre home page not the forum. This way they can see the chapter full content.

Tampa Bay SVTOA = http://www.Tampabatsvtoa.com
Central Florida = http://www.svtoa-centralflorida.com
Atlanta = http://www.svtoa-atlanta.org

Greg, could you also include a link to the chapter websites from the "Contact Us" page?

For the Boston area, which really covers a larger area, the site is www.svtoa.org

Active group that runs autox events and has an interesting and very active email list

My only comment on this, Greg, is that if I had something I would like to post in thier Forum I now have to join another forum to do that. Could it not be set up to have both, a link to their own and still have one here?

The Columbus and Cincinatti chapters have been gone for years.
The North Coast chapter had been able to re-charter into 2005-6.

May I suggest that the Columbus and Cincinatti chapter forums be archived[read-only].
