I have to assign my vacation days with my employer by Feb 1st. Taking the day before (prep) and the day after (recover) for a track week-end has worked out well for me in the past.
Any word on this years schedule?
Autobahn, Putnam, & Gingerman like the last few years?
Any info would be appreciated

Larry-
We've decided to do one big blow out track event this year. Since our most popular event has always been Gingerman, that's where we're going to have it. Mark your callendar for July 21st and 22nd. Details will be forthcoming...

Looks like I now need to join NASA to go along with my SVTOA membership so I can get my Putnam and Autobahn HPDE weekends :frn:

BTW, We are still in the planning stages for the Gingerman event. We have some details to iron out prior to the formal announcement. (You know, little things like insurance and the like.) I just wanted to let you know what we are planning so you could ask for the time off.

NASA has a track event at the Autobahn the same weekend as Gingerman. Which one are you going to?

Yes I noticed that, I'll be at Gingerman. Autobahn is only a 20 minute drive from my house. I'm sure I'll have other opportunities to run there this summer. I ran the full course a couple times last year as a members' guest.

Ok, the Canadian has a question now... :D
Where's Gingerman?
I'll keep my eyes open for future info if it's within a days drive. :)

Cory, it is in Western Michigan. About 6 or 7 hours away from us. Definitely worth the drive!!

For 2007 we are going to have one Regional on-track event. The main reason is last year we took a beating at Putnam and lost a little at Autobahn. With the re-structuring of SVTOA we are going to focus on having one good quality event this year and assuming we have good attendance we will head out to other tracks again next year. So if you would like to see us go again to other tracks in the Midwest as stand alone events please show your support by attending the Gingerman event.
Registration for all SVTOA On-Track events (except the national event) can be found at www.svtoa.motorsportreg.com . For those who attended an event last year your profile will still be active so registration is pretty easy.
Hope to see you on-track!

Did anyone make up a flyer for this event yet? I would be more than happy to leave some flyers on cars at cruise nights/shows and etc.
Also last year at Putnam one of the racers volunteered to weigh your car with some race scales. I found this to be very helpful while doing my winter mods in the off season and wouldn't mind paying $10 or so to have it done again at the track. Anyway we could get a volunteer with the equipment to do this again? Maybe we can do a 50/50 thing on the fee with 1/2 the proceeds going to the club and the other 1/2 going to the operator.
Just some thoughts!
