Thanks to Dynatek Racing for sponsoring Dyna Days at Nelson Ledges, the historic old track was great Sunday after some misty rain Saturday morning and a hard rain Saturday night. Once the track dried out good, Sunday after lunch was especially good. Thanks to Brian Shafranek for a well run event.

I personally feel that Nelson Ledges does not get enough attention. It is great track. Brian really tore up the track with his low gear ratio Cobra. A Roush wore tires down to the steel cords. It is a great track, and better when it is dry.
Gotta say, it was cold and wet on Saturday. Sunday was near perfect; cool but the track dried off near the end.
I am really looking forward to Brian's May 4-5-6, 2007 event at Summit Point

Nelson Ledges was a white knuckle, butt puckering, FAST track. It is a good track for hi horsepower cars and only one sharp turn that need lots of brakes.
We started in the rain and then ended with the perfict fall day. I like learning the track first in the rain, you learn the tricky parts fast.....then when it drys out you can really fly.
The track needs to be repaved. It has more textures than a Pennsylvania back road. All the pot holes are at least filled. If the track was repaved it would be even faster and then the runoff areas would need to be expanded. The bridge to get out of the paddock was scary or you had to wait to cross the track.
The track people were very friendly.
Dynatek was very generous with sponsoring this event, bringing out some real nice cars for hot laps, morning coffee and donuts and inviting us back to their shop for a nice dinner. Thank You.
