After hearing about all the horror stories of cam wear on our cars i unscrewed the oil cap today and looked. I saw nothing wrong with them and was quite relieved. But....

On the way back from some last minute christmas shopping (:bash: on me) i noticed my CD was not playing so i tried to switch to the 2nd one. It makes the usual sounds but then it just stopped and kept making a clicking sound. So now i have to take it to the dealer to get my 6 disc changer fixed, and might as well ask them to check the cams as well.

Just be careful about the CD Player. They may have to REPLACE the entire head unit. I've heard that's commonplace for the 6-pack changer.

If that's the case, make sure you get your CDs out of the old unit ;)

I just got back from the dealer today because my cd player did the same thing but all of the cd's that were in it got jammed. They replaced the whole radio assembly and sent the old one out to have the cd's removed.

HAD 6 DISCS IN MY CD PLAYER AND ALL OF A SUDDEN - OUT OF THE BLUE - IT STARTED NOT PLAYING AND GIVING ME "CD ERROR MESSAGES". I TRICKED THE CD PLAYER INTO EJECTING ALL BUT 1 OF MY CD'S. THEN I WENT TO A DEALER AND TOLD HIM ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THEY ORDERED ME ANOTHER ONE. WHEN I WENT TO GET IT IT WASN'T MY AUDIOPHILE 9006, BUT A MACH 500. NOW THEY ASSURRED ME IT WAS THE SAME IF NOT BETTER QUALITY, BUT I WAS SUSPICIOUS (WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL ME UP FRONT ABOUT THE CHANGE? I FELT THEY WERE TRYING TO GET ONE OVER ON ME:cool) SO I DIDN'T LET THEM CHANGE IT, THEY PUT MY OLD (I THOUGHT BROKEN) PLAYER IN. I TURNED ON THE RADIO, HIT EJ AND THE LAST CD CAME OUT OF THEY PLAYER! NOW WHAT DO I DO? IS IT FIXED? WHEN I PLAY THE RADIO UNDER THEY # I AM ON (1,2,3...) THERE IS A SMALL HORIZONTAL 8 SYMBOL. IS THIS A PROBLEM? I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING ABOUT IT IS THE LITERATURE. HELP, LOST WITHOUT MY MUSIC!

If it's the new Mach audio system, then it is just as good if not better than the stock audiophile system.

try it, it work for me. by the way, anytime you unplug the 9006 and take it out of the dash, you should take out any cd's you have in there. this way you can avoid the problem.
