The Eskimo Joe's cruise is scheduled for October. The best Saturdays are the 7th and the 14th as the pokes are away. For those of you concerned about OU (Chris, I'd be concerned too without a quarterback) the Sooners play Texas on the 7th and home against ISU the 14th. I vote for the 14th but I don't care who OU is playing.

I have been informed that the 30th of September is the best date as both OSU and OU have byes. How about Sept. 30th?

Mark, I'll be watching to see how KSU does this season.....Unfortunately, we can't womp your but this year :( ...I guess I'll just have to watch OSU do it! :hehe:

You can't womp anybody's butt without a quarterback. I know some used car dealers where you might be able to get another one.

Have you guys considered a different weekend where people who have prior obligations can attend as well, as opposed to simply scheduling around some football games?

The only team we really scheduled around is OSU because Eskimo Joe's would be packed on a game weekend. Chris will tell you we scheduled around OU but it just worked out. Someone is going to have something every weekend and we would never set a date. We didn't know that you couldn't make it. I don't care if we change it again.

This has always been in Nov and I think we should leave it in Nov as part of the clubs tradition.

Mark, there was no discussion about what weekend this would take place at the monthly meeting a few weeks ago and my wife was even there. This was posted up AFTER the meeting.

Jason, it was discussed briefly at the last meeting, however, Mark had not been able to check into OSU's schedule before the meeting. After the meeting, he was able to and did post at that time. We then found out where there was a bye week for both OSU & OU and thought that would be the best option. Apparently, I was wrong.

I do apologize since the event should be scheduled in November.
Again, when I saw both teams had a bye week, I forgot about November.

So, on that note, let's plan for November. However, Saturdays are not looking good.

Nov 11th & 25th - OSU plays at home
Nov 4th - OSU plays Texas so Joe's will probably be packed
Nov 18th - the weekend before Thanksgiving, therefore, many will be preparing for the big feast.

What about a Sunday? I'm thinking Nov 12th...Jason, would that work for you? What does everyone think?

Early November is a MAYBE. But with the PS3 releasing November 17th and the Nintendo Wii releasing sometime this fall, I really have no definite answer on a date in November until it gets closer. My store will be BUSY this fall.

I've wanted to make this event for the past 3 years, but work has always been the problem in the past.

We could do it in Sept and again in Nov if everyone wanted to. The biggest turnout we had for this was the Saturday before Thanksgiving so that would not be an issue.

We could do it Sunday the 12th if everyone wanted to. Plan on leaving Tulsa at noon with the plan to meet there at 2.

What does everyone think of that?
