This is my first post. I was in College Station, Texas for other reasons, but stopped by to visit on Saturday and Sunday. I took video on Sunday and here are some of the compilations...

Gary,

Thanks for posting these up...that big ol' banked front straight gives a nice "at speed" look at the cars.

You should have talked to one of the instructors... many of them have video camera mounts in their cars...I'm SURE they would have been happy to get some IN-CAR video for you. :D

Better yet: get a roll bar in that convertible of yours and come out and try it for yourself! :bna

Funny you should say that...it's sitting in my garage waiting for an install! Right now I am cleaning everything that can have oil on or in it. The supercharger blew a seal last month and it was rebuilt (under warranty) and is on its way home!

Once the motor is put back together, the roll bar goes in, then a set of track wheels for the 2 sets of R-Compounds waiting to be thrashed!!!!

Saaaa-WEET!! You won't regret getting your "performance driving career" started...and thanks for thinking about YOUR safety...and that of your instructors with the roll bar installation.

Drive on!

:bna Those were enjoyable to watch. I, too, am planning a roll cage install. Which roll cage set-up are you going with?

I have been to TWS many times in my SHO and I only live about an hour away. I also live about an hour away from the new roadcourse here in Houston, Motorsports Ranch. So I am very anxious to get the Cobra back together!! In fact, I am already signed up for the SCMC event Nov 11-12 at MSR-Houston.

Regarding the cage, I have an Autopower bolt-in cage. I ordered mine from Maximum Motorsports, a dealer of the AutoPower products. The bolt-in roll bar part numbers for 94-04 Verts is 70271 (roll bar), ATPHM (Harness Mount), and ATP2-1 (2" upgrade) for $418 plus about $90 shipping.

Make sure you come out and join us again next year. The Texas World Speedway event will be March 31/April 1 next year. Should be a little cooler for us.

Nice videos, I hope you don't mind if I use them to get some of the Cobras around here that think they only go in a straight line to try Summit Point next year.

Does the "track" still go infield/outfield/infield? I raced there back in 1980-something, and loved the track, dispite the rain.

Greg, please feel free to use the videos. I hope they help! And TWS is in/out/in and is still my favorite track...

Dell, So you are hosting this again?!? Sweet...I plan to be there with my longtubes, o/r x-pipe, and panhard bar installed. :) Bryan is trying to sell his car and has bought an '06 GT. He's already gutted the interior and dash and is planning a full roll cage. He's a track addict! :wow:
