OK, here are some ideas for our club car show:
Let's do some good and ask for donations to the Peoples Resource Center. We can ask for food and cash. The club can match up to X dollars. Karen and I are regular contributors to the People's Resource Center and would be happy to cover an up to of $250. http://www.peoplesrc.org/

We can work with Packey Webb and do a Saturday show like we did in 05 and then have our club cook out that afternoon/evening. Feedback on both events on the same date was positive for our small group that got together on the 4th.

Target dates: 9/23 or 9/30? This gets us past other local shows and it is a little cooler. Does this conflict with any know events? I found an event at the Autobahn on the 30th but I don't know if anyone was planning on going..
September 30 – October 1
SVTOA Wisconsin / SCC at the Autobahn
Joliet, IL

Looking for your feedback...

I'll probably be at Gingerman with SCMC on September 23rd, will be skipping the NWS/WISVTOA event at Autobahn on Sept 30/Oct 1st since I might be driving as a guest there later in the month at the member Octoberfast Full Course Weekend.

So there's my .02

I thought there was a Gingerman in there but I didn't see it on the board. OK, 1 vote for the 30th! I called the People's Resource Director and they are happy to let us use their name and want us to keep them posted. Maybe we can do some good, The Windy City SVTOA Foundation! Bill Gates has nothing to worry about!

I like the 30th - that is a better weekend for me. I also have on my calendar SVT Cobra Nationals for the 22nd/23rd - but I can't remember where that came from.

Rick,
The 30th works for me. Do you have a rain date?

My first thought is, .... "Will Packey have a GT500 for our car show? Will we be just holding a get together/show off your ride, ......... or is this a "Car Show" open to "All"? Prizes?

Helping out The Peoples Resource Center sounds solid to me.

Will are club picnic be for all that attend the car show, or is it just for club members?

Hi Jym, I hope you and that retired wife of yours had a good trip. To reply to your questions:
The 30th seems like a good date.
The show would be like last year. Show off your ride, no judging.
We can do drawings for door prizes. I figured with some lead time we could get some good give aways from Mustang Shops and performance places. We must have some good club contacts. I know the company that Karen and I work for lists The People Resource Center as a local organization it supports so I know we can get some goodies from them. I will be looking for help on getting give a ways.
The cook out would be just for our club.

If Packey Webb will have a GT500 will be the luck of the draw. They will have one in a couple of weeks and the buyer agreed to leave it for a while but I am sure it will be gone by 9/30. He thinks he will get two more this year.

Loook forward to catching up!
Rick
