I have a dealer aquaintence in Dallas that has called twice asking me if I wanted a GT500, both times I declined because I've had a deposit on one for almost a year, with the agreement of $5k over list and didn't tell him.
The first call from this dealer they said they were going for $20k over and that I should hurry...I declined, but didn't tell him I already had a deposit on one from a more reputable dealer, fast forward about 4 months and now he leaves me a message and says they just got 4 more allocated to them and they are going for 10K over and if I hurry, he could get me one. Yeah...
If I hadn't researched it, came up with a top price that I thought the car could stand (without putting my emotions into it) and getting in early, I might have been one of those that paid that.
But some are paying that, knowing all along they will never drive it. Mine will be a weekly driver.
