Looks like a "media" ride-and-drive event... or it could have been for some of the Canadian dealers that will be getting the GT500.

Ouch!! It appears that someone forgot to tell the last driver that he/she was test driving a Mustang rather than the new Bronco. :knock:
Media ride-n-drive?? Looks more like media spin-n-destroy event to me. OK kids, everyone follow the bouncing wheel.....

While I wasn't there... I seriously doubt that black FR Mustang was being driven by a member of the media...most likely, it was being used to give "demonstration" rides while the GT500 was being driven.
And I'd say there looks to have been some kind of front wheel/hub/spindle failure on that black car... (Thanks Captain Obvious!)
Now, if y'all want to try YOUR hand at that track (Shannonville), sign up for the SVTOA On Track event, Aug 11 - 13...
See you on track!

Yep, it's a great track. Many different configurations were set up for verying speeds and corner setup lines.
I don't understand how that Mustang went off at that point. When I took my car beyond the limit :o it was at a very tight corner and the back end came out on me, not the long sweeping turn he lost it. It looks like the front end failed before going off. As for the GT, I'd blame it on the stock tires.

I think the GT went off due to driver error. Those stock tires handled well when the test mule went out last year. When I was out in the charity lap, that thing could easily grip anything that it came across.
It's a Ford of Canada media event, I believe. The GT500 and GT all show manufacturer plates. Plus, another website did a feature on this a while back (I recognized the marshall somehow): http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/pw/shelbygt500andgt.htm
But yeah, that's our track for this year's on track. Come on up to Canada and try the track for yourself: www.svtoaontrack.ca

At the Nashville Speedway event last fall there was a yellow GT giving hot lap rides for a small charity donation. 1 "warm up" lap, 3 at speed and then back to the pits. It was one of the Ford chassis guys driving, and we were touching 155 at the breaking point for turn 1.
The guy put the car in the grass at least three times that day, so you know he was giving a real ride. It was awesome.
