Ya'll SC guys check out the message re: the Drag Day event on the Atlanta Forum. We hope to see ya'll there! We'll have trophies just for SVTOA vehicles! :tmb: :bna :cool:

Who all is going to Jackson Sat besides Chuck and Don? Who will have the fastest Lightning and Cobra?

We have trophies for the low ET for SVTOA Lightnings and Cobras, as well as the highest SVTOA finisher in the Eliminator and low ET for any SVTOA vehicle. If low ET is also low for the Lightning or Cobra, the next lowest will take the trophy for the Lightning or Cobra class.

Ken , is this a bracket format of eliminations as in dial your own?:confused:

The LOW ET of Eliminations Trophy will go to the SVTOA member who goes furthest in the eliminator, which indeed is a dial your own ET that will be run in the afternoon. If it comes to a tie (e.g. 2 SVTOA members make it to the quarter finals...neither advance) the one closest to their ET will win.

All other trophies are going to be based on ET only, no matter when they were run.

Drag day was a big success! Excellent weather,beautiful track,a VERY friendly crowd and staff.I enjoyed meeting many of you as well.If only the L' hadn't went up in smoke in the eliminations.Thanks to all!;)

Chuck...you should have stuck around! You won TWO trophies, one from the SCMC and one from the SVTOA. The SCMC one was given to the next closest in time, but your SVTOA one is being held by Dave Welden for you for the next time we're together. I thought Hasley was an SVTOA member, but he is a member of the Lightning Owners, not SVTOA, so you're the guy to get the Fastest E.T. by a Lightning since we don't double up the trophies!

And yes, it WAS a blast! Even though my Cobra messed with my mind all day, I had a great time! An SVTOA member won the Eliminator. To bad we had such a puny turnout of SVTOA members!

Ken,I think maybe we don,t have as many straight ;iners as I thought and football is very important to some .Sorry I missed the awards .Ironicaly one day I wrecked my Chevelle at a drag race and left in a daze and found out latter I won a trophy in the car show part that was judged before the wreck.

It would seem we have very FEW people who actually like to race their vehicles! Ah well, to each their own. I had a blast, and will be there March 1st for the spring drag day event. However, I am not even going to try to put together an SVTOA contingent for that one. If SVTOA members wish to go, they can go. The time and effort in trying to put it together for a separate group doesn't make sense if you're only going to have 4 people show up! :wtf:
