I knew it - I just knew it. And it finally paid off.
One of the reasons I chose my Dealer to work at was because it is SVT Certified. I have 5 other stores closer to my home, but have dealt with Donway since 1984 as a customer, and an employer since 2000.
I've had Mustang GT, SVTF and Cobra as demo's here, as well as regular Foci, Taurus, Escape, SHO and Marauder. The kicker came last week. Our owner has taken the GT out for a couple of short trips and last Friday I was given the task of taking it to a nearby Sunoco station to go fill it up with Ultra 94. My 'recommended route' to take took me to our local freeway (highway 401 for the local yokals) for an all-too brief blast from on-ramp to off-ramp. I put about 10-12 miles on the car for this route, and, although I could have gone much farther, did not want to take the chance of being outside the 'recommended route', lest something happen and I be forced to find alternate employment.
Needless to say my impressions were  :jawdrop: :wow:
Then, as I made my way back to within sight of the dealership, it was  :knock: realizing my chore was over. However, that quickly turned again to :tmb: as I reveled in what I had just experienced. The GT was very comfortable in town, handled superbly, and took off like a scalded cat when the road opened up briefly (120 comes up faster than anything I likely will experience ever again).
When I got back, the owner asked me what I thought, I couldn't thank him enough for having given me the opportunity to drive this magnificent car. If I never get to do it again, I can at least say I got to do it once. It is something I will never forget. I still haven't handed in my receipt to get reimbursed for the gas I put in ($60), as it will be a reminder of that day.
