10psi after bolt ons!! ?? !!

Bone stock -when floored- 1st, 2nd Gauge read 8psi.

After bolt one - when floored- BAM!! 10psi!!

Has any one had a similar experiece?
Is this typ? Any comments appreciated.

The stock boost guage is not that accurate, but you probably are seeing an increase. Most people with CAI's or even just a drop in K&N are seeing the same thing. Some stock 03's peg 10 too though? :huh:

I have read 10 psi on my gauge in cold weather (below 50 f). But usually I see 8 in my stock 03

Just wanted to tell you that i only changed to K&N and removed the air silencer (and threw it as far as i could) and also see 10psi.
The change made about 18 ponies on the dyno on my car.

My car also pegged the 10psi mark after K&N intake and Spin-tech X-pipe (with cats) installed with stock rear mufflers/pipes. Quiet but deadly ! Now it flies off the dial after 2.93 pulley install with 74 inch Gator belt. Love it !

I've seen about 9 this summer by my gauge. But with these gauges, your guess is as good as mine!

I was driving the other day in 30 degree weather. I saw 10 psi with no problem (all stock). Also, I could not keep the rear wheels hooked up as the engine revved through 4000 to 6000 RPM.

Almost, wish we had 30 degree weather all the time! ;)

Installed new boosr gauge today, boost on stock gauge showed 10psi now I have 14psi when I stand in it. Rachrse

Mine is all stock and when its cold out, I've seen 10 on the boost gauge.

My cobra has always seen 10 on the boost from day one I think the guage might be slightly off....:p

Mine goes all the way to the right edge of the black box above the 10. It only went to about 8 before my AIRBOX CAI was installed.

THat has to be one of the lamest stock boost gauges I have ever seen. My SVO's stock gauge was better then that! THe SVO's stock gauge was also inaccurate. When I get my Cobra it will get a quality aftermarket boost gauge!

these snakes, contrary to popular belief, love cool weather. and will perform like a screaming banshees. all i have put on is the densecharger and last night i pulled the cover off and drove it downtown. the weather was about 58 degrees. the car ran the best it ever has. im not one to run the piss out of my car but good grief i couldnt hold it back. i think as time passes the mods are going to get better and better with our cars. the only thing i wish is that i had a local chapter here in louisiana but theres not one. i think the closest one ive seen is arkansas.

After I put a cold air kit on my 03 I saw 10psi also. Then I got a 2.93" pulley and a autometer boost gauge, now I see 14psi under full boost.
