"GARY STEVEN LEY, SR.
Of Southampton, NJ passed away suddenly on Friday, April 14th, 2006, at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 44 yrs. of age.
Born in Phila, PA., he has resided in Southampton for the past 22 years. Gary was the Manager of new car sales at Holman Ford in Mt. Laurel, NJ where he has worked for the past 22 yrs. Prior to this he was employed at the Medford Outlet Store and also was a Special Officer for the Medford Police Department. Gary was always well known for his community service and was a 13 year member of the Medford-Vincentown Rotary Club where he served as Past. Pres., Past. Sec., Chair of the Golf Outing and the Halloween Parade and a Trustee for the M.V. Rotary Foundation. He was a member of the Medford Lakes Country Club where he served on the House Committee, a member of the Indian Guides, the C.C. United Way, the Boy Scouts of America and the S.J. Mustang Club.
He is the Beloved Husband of Carol P. (Nee Zane) Ley of Southampton and the Loving Father of Amanda Noelle, Casey Patricia, and Gary Steven Jr. all at home. He is also survived by his mother Joan Ley of Medford, NJ, his brothers David and his wife Gloria of Southampton, NJ and Fred Ley of AK and also 17 nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday from 5:00 - 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 12:00 Noon in the Holy Eucharist Church in Tabernacle, NJ. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cem. in Medford, NJ. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family deeply requests memorial donations to the Medford-Vincentown Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 365, Medford, NJ 08055."
For those that didn't know Gary, he was the dealer advisor for the Delaware Valley chapter of the SVTOA and a long-time friend / member of the South Jersey Mustang Club as well as an all-around great guy. As you can see, he was active in many community organizations and always giving of himself. The world will truly miss him...
This is where the irony of life is realy exemplified. It's good guys like him that pass away while *******s like Saddam and Osama still walk the Earth.
