Anybody recommend a good low-cost system (maybe with matching helmet)?

Neil, do a search on www.corner-carvers.com using HANS:

Also go to www.nasaforums.com and do a search using HANS:

http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=8503&highlight=hans

Much more info, also. Good luck.

I just bought a G-Force sa2005 helmet. THey sell a SRS-1 system for helmet restraint.

Does anybody know how that system works (good, bad).

Here's a couple discussions about that system on NASA's forums.

Quote from the second one from Howard Bennett, a notable wholesaler of safety equipment: "The G-Force SRS-1 did not pass SFI testing but supposedly not as badly as the Hutchens device which is not SFI-rated either. The SRS-1, as well as the others, are still a viable solution to prevent H&N injuries. I still use the SRS-1 myself, as do hundreds of others."

Personally, Neil, I think any of them would be better than none, I just can't make the leap yet.

Neil,

This email might be late but shot me an email at mwilson7@comcast.net for pricing of a HANS Device.

I bought a HANS and got the quick release option.

Any advice on installing? From someone that has installed on G-Force helemts?
