View Full Version : What to do with SVTOA Merchandise?

So, with the changes to SVTOA, what do we do with all the SVTOA merchandise. We have chapter specific stuff like clocks, bumper stickers, and some really nice staff jackets, not to mention about 300 stupid red hats. They will be relics when the new name is announced. Should we E-bay them or donate them to a homeless shelter?

Erik,

If you've got (non-chapter specific) hats, I know someone that's looking for one or two.

I would keep them and still use them like you always do. I don't know for sure but I think that our chapter will continue to use the name of SVTOA and figure out how to add in the new name for future stuff. We are well established with that name here and I don't think we will change that. We will have to make adjusts to accomodate the new name when the time comes.

Hey, this stuff could become collectors pieces too, you never know. :D

Jamie-
You can't tell me you don't have some of the original SVOTA red hats! We have so many, we can't even give them away anymore. They are non-chapter specific. They just have the SVTOA circular logo on the front.
Contact me at info@svota-semi.com if you want some. (Limited time offer. Act now. Shipping and Handling fees apply. Not valid in Alaska or Hawaii. You must be 18 years of age or older.)

Those red hats are a popular give-away item at track events. You'd be suprised how many people show up at the track without a hat to keep the sun off their face.

Didn't think you wore them! Ask and you shall receive! How many you want?

I will gladly transport any of the SVT things to the track events I volunteer at!

I was thinking that goodie bags were going to become a thing of the past!

North Coast SVTOA has some dollars left after the flyer mailing.

How much for shipping?

Right!
Worker hand outs, or put them in a vault and sell them for big bucks in about 20 years.

I wear them when I need to protect my (balding) head from the sun! :(

Bring what you can spare to the meeting on the 18th and we'll chat. ;)

Wait a minute. They sold SVT's in Hawaii. My wife saw a Focus there last summer.

The line for the 'unwanted' SVTOA gear is getting longer. I'll pay the shipping for them.

Erik, what's the clock like? I don't have one of those.
And how much might you want for it?

The Tampa Bay Chapter has a bunch of XL and XXL and a few XXXL SVTOA T-shirts that I'm thinking would make good seatback covers.

I would really appreciate being able to get a couple or three of the hats. I have only been on here for a year and had not got a hat. The only hat I received from Ford when I bought my 04 Cobra was a Team Ford Racing. I would like to have five of them if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

The writing was already on the wall! :wow:

When did you buy it?

They were a desk clock that looked a little like a dashboard gauge. You may have seen them in the SVTOA merchandise catalog, or at CLT. Ours do say "Southeast Michigan" on them, but other than that, they are identical to the ones National had.

From the responses I've been getting I may just E-bay them off. However, if you want to get in before the auction, E-mail me at info@svtoa-semi.com

Thanks, but I was looking for a wall clock for the garage, and an SVTOA one would have been cool. But I'll email you anyway.

Or I'll trade you a bunch of National Speedway Directories for it. :hehe:

Bought mine from Wendle Ford, Spokane WA in Dec 2004 and it was delivered to my house in January 2005. I've had it for a little over a year now. Never thought I would ever own a Cobra but it was new on the showroom floor and they made an offer I could not refuse. My wife said either you call him and say its sold or I will. So we purchased it. Month to the day from the time it left the dealer til it got here to the house. Sits in the garage with my 90 GT with 32,500 miles.

Thanks, but I was looking for a wall clock for the garage...

www.ebay.com Got my "cutsom" one from there sporting a picture of my very own car on the face. I've also got the "Ford 100" clock where each hour has a different engine sound associated with it. The Ford GT is 12 o'clock. :hehe:
