I need to replace my rear tires on my 2004 Cobra , so I was thinking of just putting on some 315/35/17 tires(Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's like i have on the front now in stocksize275/40/17) and 17x10.5 rims to match the chrome stock rims or should i just spend it on stock 275/40/17 tires and some good performance HP mods ( but if so what HP performance mods)...But I want to know what it would look like with some 315/35/17 tires on back...Is anyone here running 315/35/17's ..if so can you post or send some pictures of them on a cobra side & front & rear pictures ,.. and how do they hook up and handle at high speeds & cornering ..I've read that some people have had them rubb IRS bolts !??! ... Maybe I should just go with stock size and spend the $$$ on my 70 Mach1 I'm restoring and help get it back on the road faster!! /???? I Don't Know I can't make up my mind... :knock: yet !!

Save your money for the Mach 1. A classic muscle car. Try to have it ready when the new Challenger comes around. :hehe:

HP mods? check my signature. Under $2K (including set of tires), money well spent and I love it.
I was gonna put 315's on my GT. The 275's that were on there didn't fill the rims enough.

A good cat-back and CAI is about all the power mods the tires can handle.I picked up 40 rwhp and 11 lb/ft of torque with just those two mods. See my sig. You must install subframe connectors if you haven't already. That should keep you happy for awhile as you work on the Mach 1

What he said...
You start adding over 450HP and wider tires, your stock
T56 and 8.8 are going to see stresses beyond their design limits.
You can upgrade them as they break.

I am running Firestone Wide Ovals in the 285 size instead of 275
Slightly larger and useing stock wheel, plus help with wheel hop
quite abit. ..

Re; Tires and wheel hop.
Temperature, road surface, tire temperature, tire pressure, and the way you apply your right foot are bigger variables than your 0.4inch wider tread width 285's.
I think you'll find nothing will eliminate all wheel hop, all the time.

Check out this. (http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=104572)
FRPP claims over 600HP with just a hurst shifter mod to the stock T56.
Wonder if they're still running it? I think it shows up at some of the SVTOA events now.

Their RWT figures are at least 20% greater than the
rated torque capacity. Not to mention the other known
problems with the T-56.
