Alright, I've been looking to buy a carbon fiber hood that is functional and get a good price. I've been looking at the VIS evo style for the focus, as seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-03-FORD-FOCUS-VIS-EVO-CARBON-FIBER-HOOD_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6755QQitemZ4600302910QQrdZ1

They make another style that's functional called the Invader, which I have seen one that looked really good on a Yellow focus, posted by "focusman01 ". So I'm pretty sure that it will work, even though some of them say Non-SVT (probably just like the tail lights, but still will work.) If anybody has some disadvantages to getting this hood shown here on Ebay, any input would be appreciated. Anywhere I could find a better price, or maybe a functional other style like the "MACH HOOD" I believe I've seen would be great! Also, the care for carbon fiber, waxing and washing, any different from what I've been doing. Thanks

I wonder .... with the rain we have in FL, if the vents are actually vents, you'd be busy drying out the engine also it looks as if rain water will well up along the backside of the ridge and run into the engine compartment when parked.

I emailed him with this situation and he replies that it comes with "rain guard" underneath.

So guys, I recieved the carbon fiber hood today. I can't wait to put it on tomorrow.

Like I asked in the beginning, does the carbon fiber need any special washing or waxing, if you guys know. Plus, I have a vent in the front, I guess I should put some sort of towel under the hood to absorb the H2O, possibly driving in the rain I guess. What do you guys think?
