Questions about your car

What kind of questions about your car have you gotten from random people when they see your car?

I've had someone ask me why i got a SLOW focus. Another person said that his 89 CRX Si with i/h/ and some horrible sounding exhaust could smoke me. I don't think he knew what he was getting himself into. That's all i can think of right now, what about you all?

Going from a lightning to a focus everyone keeps asking me do I like it... thats the main one..

other stupid ones/ Where'd you get the rims, what kind of exaust... so on and so forth

yeah thats the funny part is that everyone thinks you have to get all of this stuff aftermarket for it to look like that. I got a lot of questions about the rims when I first started driving mine around. oh well they'll figure out soon enough that cool packages can be bought off the showroom.

At the track the other day some guy asked if the paint was custom.

I live in a pretty big city, but I haven't seen any other SVTF's around my area. I don't think they are too common around here.

No one has ever dissed my car ( so far ). If someone comes to me and says it's slow and their car is faster I'll just politely ask them to prove it on an autocross track.:spank:

It's funny how most poeple tend to judge a car by it's straight line performance.

One thing I HAVE noticed that really irks me is how many times I get people trying to race me. That is annoying. It never happens when I'm in the SHO, either because they don't feel threatened by a boring family car or they get scared when they hear it growl with the roar of the pumping V8 as I speed by.

The SHO sits alot now, I'm scared ti drive it with the big cam issue going on these days.:rant:

I've also gotten quite a few comments on the rims, good comments of course. Alot of my friends drive imports, mostly Mitsubishi and Acuras. When i got the car all they said was "You got a Ford Focus?" But after i took them for a quick ride one of them was talking about ditching his CRX for one.

I own a pretty tricked out 83 Rabbit GTI with a 2.0 liter 16V, roll-cage, coilovers, recarro interior, etc. I was planning to buy a VR6 VW GTI. So, when I got my SVTF, the VW guys as well as some of the import guys were, Why a Ford Focus? to I've heard they're pretty fast, are they? to I like the interior.. After telling them the sticker was $14,995 (before taxes, etc.), they thought it was a fantastic deal.
