New SVTF owner here

Hey everyonek, i just got my SVTF 2 days ago and have come up with a quick question.

How long is the break in period. I was told 1000 miles, 500 miles, and the salesman said SVT said it was 300. I also have a friend who has a lightning and he said that you also have to drive it a certain way while breaking it in. Such as varying your speed and not exceeding 4000 rpm.

So can someone tell me which one of these is true, or half true, or not true at all? Because it's gonna be painful if I have to baby the car for 1000 miles and take away the fun part of driving it.

I went easy on it for the first few hndred and then never took it above 5 grand until I hit about 2,000 miles. ( I put 2400 miles on this car in 40 days!!!!! )

I took it right to the track after that. I haven't noticed any problems other than I can't drive the damn thing right on the drag strip. LOLOL

What did you run at the track? And at what elevation? Cause after driving my friend's GSR with i/h/e, cams and intake manifold both cars felt like they accelerated the same. Then again that might because our cars make 85% of their torque at only 2200 rpm.
