94 Cobras with Cloth

Met a guy with a 94 Cobra (Red/Tan) that had cloth seat covers. Was cloth an unusual feature on 94s or pretty standard? Sorry, not as up-to-date on early cars as I should be.

Mine has them too. It's somewhat rare but not unheard of...

208 with that color combo. Total of 932 with black cloth and 461 had saddle cloth, for a total 1393 cloth interiors.

My 94 Cobra has the black cloth seats. Thought it was odd when I bought it a few weeks ago too. Wish it was leather but with a stroker motor, built rearend, and a supercharger waiting to go on in the trunk for 7500, I can't complain....

Trade you!!!! I have black leather and I take my car to On-Track events. Despite having a 6 point harness, I still slide around, but I refuse to have racing seats in a street car.

[edit]Changed my mind on that about 6 months later, now have Hunsaker race seats.

You may have a deal on your hands, but there's a rub hole on the driver's seat. Probably could be patched, but I just got it like I said. Let me know or pm me if still interested...... :tmb:

'94 and '95 Cobras didn't get leather unless the dealer/first buyer opted for the $500 upgrade. Most dealers pre-ordered the cars with leather, but as the numbers show up above, about 20% of them got cloth.

Mine is one of the 331 black/black cloth '94's, and I wouldn't trade cloth for leather. The same year leather seat has A LOT more padding on the bottom, and you slide around on it on track.

I am one of the 123 with black/tan/cloth interior (white exterior).

I love the cloth seats.......just trying to find a nice set of seat covers to cover them up and protect them.
