Well I found a little problem with my Cobra. I have the Densecharger 100mm TB to fender. I was reading that someone was having trouble with theirs collapsing on the high end. I finally installed the updated elbow that John sent me and found out that mine must have been sucking closed also. After installing the elbow with the insert to keep it from collapsing I noticed that it really pulled from 5000 on. I mean good enough that from a second gear roll with the yoko 275's it would start to break loose at 5000 rpm and actually start hopping sideways. So I put the DRs on and went out and gave it a run with the G-Tech. I cleaned the tires good, launched at 1800, spun a little in first, spun quite a bit in second, and pulled off a 13.15 at 112.7. Can't wait to get to the track with some good pavement, drop the presure in the DRs, and try to break a half shaft. I want 12's NA with a car that still gets 19mpg in town and 24 on the highway. I love this modern technology.

Oh by the way another bit of help was the new Ford Motorsport Racing tack with shift light (early Christmas present from my wife). With the 4.30s first gear is so quick it is hard to catch the shift before the rev limiter hits. And Ford makes a Tach Driver for $50 to hook up the tach to the COP Cobras!

Nice numbers! How do you find the G-Tech compares to actual times at the track?

If you just want a shift light, check out www.raptorperformance.com as their light does not require the adaptor or anything else to work. It works...I've tested it on the dyno and have it installed in my 2001. :D

The G-Tech is very accurate on the ET, but reads high on the mph. You just have to make sure that you level the G-Tech before you run it, set the g-force monitor to exactly zero sitting still. The 13.15 was with a bogging 1800 launch, so I know there is more there but I really don't want to break a shaft.

Actually I wanted the tach. I am finding that the factory tach reads high, so I am glad to have spent the money for the Ford Racing tach and Ford tach adaptor. I used PHPs tach mount and it uses the screws for the AC controls so there is no drilling and it is nice having a tach I can see, and trust. Besides it was a gift so I had to put it in.
