tranny question..PLZ HELP

i literally just finished changing the clutch on my 94 5speed and while i was putting the tranny back into the car, one of the plastic pieces on the side of the tranny broke off... i think it has something to do with my speedometer, which isnt working now.. any info would be great. thanks

The speedo is driven by a little box that has a little plastic gear on the end of a shaft, which is held onto the driver's side of the tranny (with the gear IN the tranny) by a single 11mm bolt.

There's a small wiring harness which connects to the box - that drives your speedometer.
