Hi All,
I'm new to SVTOA and REALLY glad to be here ;)
My 97 Cobra (bought the first week of June) is emitting a high-pitched "chirp/squeal" until I put light pressure on the clutch pedal...is this a throwout bearing going bad?
A friend with an 03 Cobra tells me that's what it is and if I don't replace it ASAP, it could trash my tranny and even the engine's crankshaft...is that true? :frn: I didn't realize a bad throwout bearing could have such disastrous effects...or is he just BS'n me???
If it is the throwout bearing, I'm gonna replace the clutch assembly while I'm in there. Any suggestions on which clutch to use??? I'm seriously considering a Centerforce...
